Little Gracelyn Vick vanished on a quiet Sunday afternoon in Saucier, Mississippi, after going outside to play. Hours later, her lifeless body was found near her family’s property, ending a frantic six-hour search involving law enforcement, rescue teams, helicopters, and dozens of local volunteers.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and it remains unclear whether foul play was involved. An autopsy is underway to help determine the cause of death. The investigation continues, with police urging the public to avoid spreading online rumors.

For Gracelyn’s mother, Vicky Hutcherson, this marks a devastating third loss. In 2024, her 13-year-old daughter Victoria was killed in a car accident. And in 2021, her 18-year-old son Larry passed away from a medical condition.

Grief counselors have been made available at Gracelyn’s school, and the outpouring of love from the community has been immense. But words can hardly capture the heartbreak this family is enduring.
